Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician to support diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases in companion animals. You will assist with diagnostic testing, organize ophthalmic equipment, and help with outpatient procedures and surgeries to restore vision.

The role involves anesthesia support, client education on ocular care, and collaboration with a specialized ophthalmology team in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as ophthalmology veterinary technician or related ophthalmic support.
• Ability to assist with diagnostic testing and ophthalmic procedures.
• Willingness to learn and support anesthesia and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests and assist with detailed ocular exams.
• Set up and assist with outpatient procedures and ophthalmic surgeries.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitor sedation, and support perioperative care.
• Help educate clients on their pet's ocular disease and care.
• Organize and maintain ophthalmic equipment and supplies.
