Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Newark, DE is seeking an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician to diagnose and treat eye diseases in companion animals. You will work with a team of skilled veterinary professionals to advance our ophthalmology service and improve patients' vision and quality of life.

We offer a pay range of $22.00–$32.00 per hour, with starting pay based on experience and progression through our leveling system.

Qualifications

• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests and assist with detailed ocular exams.
• Perform advanced ophthalmic diagnostic testing as needed.
• Set up and assist with outpatient and surgical ophthalmic procedures.
• Assist with anesthesia and sedation; monitor patients during procedures.
• Organize and maintain ophthalmic equipment and supplies.
• Educate clients about their pet's ocular disease and care.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic eye tests and assist with ocular exams.
• Assist in advanced diagnostic testing and procedures.
• Support outpatient and surgical ophthalmic procedures.
• Manage anesthesia-related tasks and monitoring.
