Job summary

BluePearl is hiring an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician in Lafayette, CO. The role involves diagnosing and treating ophthalmic diseases in companion animals, performing tests (Schirmer, IOP, fluorescein), and assisting with a range of procedures from outpatient to complex surgeries.

You will educate clients, manage anesthesia-related tasks, and contribute to a team of dedicated veterinary professionals in a fast-paced emergency and specialty care environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in ophthalmology preferred.
• Strong interest in veterinary medicine and patient care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests and assist with ocular exams.
• Perform advanced ophthalmic diagnostics.
• Set up and assist with surgeries from outpatient to complex procedures.
• Position patients for procedures and manage sedation as needed.
• Educate clients on ocular disease and care.
