Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is seeking a Surgery Coordinator to support the Cypress and Bellaire ophthalmology locations. The role involves premium services conversion, scheduling, patient coordination of all procedures, and ensuring compliance with physician and facility requirements.

You will interact with patients, physicians and staff, manage paperwork, and provide pre-op and post-op counseling. Travel between locations is required, with an emphasis on accuracy, organization and excellent

Qualifications

• AA/BA/BS degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a Surgery Coordinator, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Experience with EMR software and ophthalmology-specific tools.
• Experience in patient service, obtaining authorizations and referrals, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate premium services conversion and scheduling for patients.
• Provide pre-op and post-op counseling to patients.
• Schedule dates/times using the computerized scheduling system.
• Communicate with patients, physicians and staff to ensure timely information and coordination.
• Ensure all necessary medical clearances are obtained prior to surgery.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with HIPAA and other policies.
• Travel between Cypress and Bellaire locations as required.
