Valley Eye Institute is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to manage surgical scheduling and pre-operative patient education. You will coordinate pre-op appointments and review insurance benefits, guiding patients through cost discussions and payment collection.

The role supports the Ophthalmology department, reporting to the Surgical Services Manager. A focus on accurate financial communication and patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in financial counseling preferred.
• Experience working with insurance preferred.

Aufgaben

• Schedule surgeries and educate patients pre-surgery and coordinate with facilities.
• Coordinate pre-op appointments with patient or caregiver.
• Review patient charts for insurance benefits, prepare cost summaries and counsel patients on finances.
• Counsel patients on Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center charges.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Other duties as assigned.
