Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center (HPMC) is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to maintain the surgical schedule and coordinate eye surgeries in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include scheduling, submitting documentation to OR, obtaining payer authorization, and working with patients, physicians and staff for timely care delivery.

The role requires multitasking, strong communication skills, and experience in a clinic/hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required, OR two years of experience in a directly related field.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with a variety of software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a union environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the surgical schedule for patient care and workflow efficiency.
• Schedule patients for eye surgery and submit surgical documentation to OR; obtain payer authorization.
• Coordinate with patient, physician and team to ensure timely care delivery.
• Communicate with the Clinic Manager and Administrative Director about patient care concerns.
• Travel to satellite clinics as needed.
