Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in patient access (scheduling, registration and financial clearance) preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification, billing or certified medical assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, communicate clearly, and handle sensitive information.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients arriving for their appointments and manage patient flow for efficient service.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Complete registration for walk-in patients and handle financial clearance when needed.
• Verify benefits, collect out-of-pocket liability, and pursue past due balances.
• Assist with visit closure and scheduling follow-ups, providing documents as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer requirements and pre-authorization rules.
• Maintain professionalism and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations.
