Job summary

Astellas Pharma, Inc. seeks an Ophthalmics Region Business Lead for the Southeast to guide a field-based team across the West Coast region? This role emphasizes leadership, strategy-to-execution, and strengthening partnerships to improve patient access to ophthalmic therapies.

Remote work is available with hybrid options; the incumbent will translate national objectives into regional plans, coach leaders, and drive sustainable business results while aligning with One Astellas values.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
8+ years of specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience; ophthalmology/retina, buy-and-bill, and leadership experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience successfully leading commercial teams.
Understanding of access, reimbursement, buy-and-bill dynamics, and practice economics preferred.
Experience leading specialty product launches and cross-functional initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a diverse, high-performing Ophthalmics team with coaching and development.
Translate regional plans from national objectives to regional execution and growth.
Engage key accounts, deepen customer partnerships, and drive patient access to therapies.
Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, RKALs, and Sales Leadership for aligned execution.
Own regional performance, coaching, and accountability for regional priorities.
