Job summary

Astellas is seeking an Ophthalmics Region Business Lead – Southeast to drive regional strategy, leadership, and execution across the Ophthalmics portfolio. The role is field-based with a focus on developing teams, guiding customer engagements, and translating enterprise objectives into regional plans.

The position requires significant sales leadership experience in specialty pharma/biotech, ophthalmology, and buy-and-bill dynamics, with a track record of performance excellence and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of specialty pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience; ophthalmology/retina, buy-and-bill, and leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience successfully leading commercial teams preferred.
• Understanding of access, reimbursement, buy-and-bill dynamics, and practice economics preferred.
• Experience leading specialty product launches and cross-functional initiatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Ophthalmics Region team across the Southeast.
• Translate national objectives into focused regional business plans.
• Deliver clinically meaningful customer engagements and strengthen partnerships with physicians and practice leaders.
• Drive execution, coach teams, and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Collaborate across functions to support One Astellas objectives and regional priorities.
