Job summary

Sun Ophthalmics in the Pittsburgh market is seeking an Account Manager to drive ophthalmics sales and contribute to a high-performance commercial team. The role emphasizes education-based messaging to health care professionals and strategic business planning within the territory.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales, ideally in ophthalmics, and be willing to travel domestically to achieve targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
• Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent are preferred.
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in ophthalmics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information to target HCPs.
• Engage in business planning and execution for the assigned territory.
• Increase awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products, clinical data, safety and efficacy.
• Provide tools to HCPs to facilitate robust conversations with patients.
