Job summary

Cincinnati Eye Institute is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient testing and exam prep. This role handles initial testing, maintains EMR data, and ensures smooth clinic flow in a busy ophthalmology practice.

The technician will assist with dilation, refraction, visual fields, OCT, and other diagnostic tests, while upholding high standards of patient care and confidentiality. Some travel to other offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience or training.
• COA/COT is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and professionally.
• Assist physician to facilitate clinic flow.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Document data in EMR during visits.
• Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs.
• Keep rooms clean, stocked, and organized.
• Open/close exam rooms as needed.
• Support general office duties as assigned.
