Vitreous Retina Macula Specialists of New Jersey is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to support ophthalmologists in patient care and documentation. The role involves preliminary patient work-ups, scribing for physicians, and assisting with examinations and treatments in a clinic setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and hands-on patient care experience; eyecare and phlebotomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on patient care experience required.
• Minimum of one year as an ophthalmology technician preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service during patient encounters.
• Greet patients professionally and ensure smooth clinic flow.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate schedules.
• Record patient history and medications, and document in EMR.
• Prepare patients for treatments and assist physicians during exams.
