Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician for a full-time role based in Downers Grove. The position involves extensive data collection to support diagnosis, patient communication, and coordination across clinic visits.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in ophthalmology/optometry, COT certification (or pursuing it), and hands-on experience with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment. Willingness to travel to nearby clinics is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or in the process of getting certification.
• Must get COT certification within one year of being employed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in ophthalmology/optometry setting.
• Fundamental experience working with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients with respect and professionalism.
• Communicate processes and procedures during visits.
• Obtain patient history and document in the EMR.
• Perform ophthalmic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, refractometry, OCT.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
