Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician in Muskegon, MI to support ophthalmologists with initial testing, patient prep, and data entry in EMR systems. The role requires excellent patient care, HIPAA compliance, and strong teamwork to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The position offers full benefits, 401k with employer matching, PTO, and potential maternity leave, with hours Monday–Friday and some weekend work. A COA/COT is preferred but not required.

• Must comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards when communicating patient information
• Communication skills and the ability to coordinate with all levels of staff
• Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow

• Ability to work weekends when applicable

Responsibilities

• Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow
• Practice urgency with patient and doctor time and schedule
• Verify patient information by interviewing patients
• Record patient medical history and medications and purpose of visit
• Record all data in EMR and document visits and procedures
