Duly Health and Care in Oak Lawn/Tinley Park is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians with eye exams and data collection. You will perform ophthalmic tests, obtain patient histories, document in the EMR, and assist in maintaining a clean, compliant workflow.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and COT certification (to be obtained within one year). At least 2 years of ophthalmology/optometry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• COT certification within one year of employment.

• Experience with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive data collection to aid diagnosis as delegated by physician.
• Interact respectfully with patients and communicate procedures clearly.
• Obtain patient history including chief complaint and allergies.
• Document accurately in the EMR.
• Conduct ophthalmic tests such as visual acuity, confrontational fields, tonometry, refractometry, dilation, OCT, and imaging.
• Maintain exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with specimen handling.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
