Job summary

US Eye is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team across Florida clinics. You will perform patient workups and ophthalmic testing including history taking, visual acuity, tonometry, refractions, and dilation drops, while supporting clerical tasks.

This full-time role requires travel between University Park, Venice, Sarasota, Pelican Plaza and Siesta, with a focus on delivering compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting and maintaining EMR records and exam room readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field preferred.
• High school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient workups and ophthalmic testing per policy (history taking, visual acuity, tonometry, refraction, dilation drops).
• Maintains exam rooms and assists with stocking and clerical tasks.
• Records patient information in EMR and processes prescriptions as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows company compliance and safety standards.
