Job summary

Eye Health America in the Southeast is seeking an ophthalmic technician to assist doctors during eye examinations. You will gather medical records, perform eye measurements, assist with procedures, and maintain patient flow. Travel to multiple clinic locations may be required; overtime may be required.

Requirements include a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; ophthalmic assistant certification or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active and valid Driver’s License.
• Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathering medical records and patient information
• Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional
• Administering or preparing medications
• Providing eye care and contact lens information to the patient
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments
• Assisting the doctors in basic procedures

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant Certification preferred
