Job summary

Eye Health America Clemson Eye affiliate is seeking an ophthalmic technician to assist doctors in eye examinations and workups, perform vision tests, collect medical data, monitor patient flow, scribe, and assist with procedures. Travel to multiple clinic locations may be required; overtime may be needed.

The role includes gathering records, taking ocular measurements, administering medications, and educating patients on eye care.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience and/or Ophthalmic Assistant. Certification preferred, but not required.
• Active and Valid Driver's License.
• Adequate training will be provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathering medical records and patient information
• Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional
• Administering or preparing medications
• Providing eye care and contact lens information to the patient
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments
• Assisting the doctors in basic procedures
