Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or GED required; Bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience.
• Certification: COT or equivalent ophthalmic credential.
• Experience: 8+ years as ophthalmic assistant; 2+ years leading on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate team activities to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Assist physician in complex procedures and advanced testing.
• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular history and monitor visual acuity.
• Perform tests such as OCT, automated fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Administer medications and ensure informed consent is obtained.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and patient flow throughout the day.
• Collaborate with clinic manager to identify improvements and implement changes.
