Job summary

North Georgia Eye Associates, part of the EyeSouth Partners network, is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician. You will support physicians with patient history, acuity testing, automated refraction, and eye drop administration across multiple offices in North Georgia.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, accurate EMR data entry, and willingness to travel to Braselton and other locations. A high school diploma is required and benefits are provided by EyeSouth Partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in ophthalmic settings is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions.
• Enter data into EMR and support patient services.
• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and travel to other offices as needed.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and confidentiality.

We are actively recruiting for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team at North Georgia Eye Associates.

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

Ophthalmic skills include

• Obtaining and documenting patient history
• Determining visual acuityPerforming automated refraction
• Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
• Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR
• Providing patient services
• Maintaining equipment and instruments
• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required
• Must be flexible with traveling to various locations.
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable
• The ability to recognize inconsistencies

Education
