Job summary

AVP•SEES Group in Franklin, TN is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician I to support the clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care and assisting with diagnostic testing across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to follow protocols while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA. Travel between sites is required; paid training and tuition reimbursement are provided.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare preferred.
• 2–3 years ophthalmic/optometric technician experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document comprehensive patient history with accuracy.
• Follow office workup protocols to support patient flow and physician needs.
• Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
• Administer prescribed eye drops and irrigation solutions.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment; ensure proper functionality.
