Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology team in Bloomingdale and Glen Ellyn. This full-time role supports physicians with data collection, patient communication, and diagnostic procedures across multiple clinics.

Ideal candidates have a COT certification (or in process) within one year, at least 2 years in ophthalmology/optometry, and proficiency with essential ophthalmic equipment. The position offers comprehensive benefits and stable hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or in process of obtaining certification.
• COT certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of ophthalmology/optometry experience.
• Experience with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect extensive patient data as delegated by physician to aid diagnosis.
• Interact with patients with respect and professionalism.
• Explain processes and procedures to patients during visits.
• Assess patient needs and unusual circumstances via patient or family.
• Seek advice from senior staff or physicians when necessary; do not perform beyond capabilities.
• Provide telephone support for ocular emergencies, refills and patient questions.
• Accurately document in the EMR.
