Job summary

Eye Health Vision Centers, LLC in Dartmouth, MA is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support Attending Physicians with preliminary exams, medical history review, and testing. You will prepare examination rooms, assist during minor procedures, and ensure instruments are clean and calibrated.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability, and willingness to travel to other locations as needed; medical experience is helpful but training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical experience preferred but not required.
• We are willing to provide training.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical and eye history from patient and document information using the EHR system.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
• Perform screening and testing (will train) to prepare the patient for doctor's exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, auto-lensometry, autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, pupil evaluation, and other testing as needed.
• Administer eye medications.
• May assist physicians during minor surgical procedures.
• Will train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments.
• Must travel to other locations for business needs.
