Job summary

Eye Health Vision Centers is seeking staff to collect patient history, prepare exam rooms, and assist doctors during eye exams. Training will be provided for testing procedures and instrument calibration.

The role requires handling ophthalmic equipment, following company policies, and traveling to other locations as needed to support multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• We are willing to provide training.
• Medical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical and eye history and document information using the EHR system.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
• Perform screening and testing (will train) to prepare the patient for doctor's exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, auto-lensometry, autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, pupil evaluation, and other testing as needed.
• Administer eye medications and may assist physicians during minor surgical procedures.
• Will train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments.
• Must understand company policies including the company manual.
• Travel to other locations for business needs.

Eye Health Vision Centers have been proudly providing the Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Taunton MA and Middletown RI communities with advanced technology and eye care services for over four decades.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Obtain medical and eye history from patient and document information using the EHR system
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms
• Perform screening and testing (will train) to prepare the patient for doctor's exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, auto-lensometry, autorefraction, tonometry, Amsler grid, pupil evaluation, and other testing as needed
• Administer eye medicationsMay assist physicians during minor surgical procedures
• Will train to maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments
• Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual
• You will be required to travel to other location for business needs.

Working Conditions
