SightMD is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist physicians, perform pre-exam testing, and support minor procedures across our Deer Park and Holbrook locations. The role requires traveling between sites and maintaining exam room readiness, instruments, and patient documentation.

The candidate will conduct ophthalmic tests (OCT, fundus photography, tonometry) and support patient education, intake, and laboratory coordination while upholding HIPAA and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• COA certification required or enrolled within one year and completed within two years of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians during examinations and minor surgical and laser procedures.
• Perform pre-exam testing and advanced diagnostic testing (OCT, fundus photography, keratometry, etc.).
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain ophthalmic instruments and supplies.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post-operative instructions.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and patient instruction.
