Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in ophthalmic assisting or related field; OSC within 30 days if not certified.
• Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
• Bilingual abilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient care promptly and professionally.
• Interview patients, document histories and testing.
• Communicate follow-up care and scheduling with patients.
• Maintain and clean equipment; report irregularities to supervisor.
• Instill eye drops.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; check medication dates.
• Accurately perform OCT, tonometry, visual acuity, Amsler grid, and related tests.
• Travel to ARC locations may be required; attend staff meetings as needed.
