Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists in diagnosis, treatment, and management of eye conditions in a high-standard facility. You will work closely with the eye care team to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

The role includes performing diagnostic tests, assisting in exams and laser treatments, and educating patients on pre- and post-operative eye care. Travel to other locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• FA (Fluorescein Angiography) skills are a plus.
• Performing preliminary eye examinations and assessments including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, and visual field testing.
• Obtaining detailed patient medical history with eye-related health information.

Responsibilities

• Administering ophthalmic tests and procedures such as tonometry, keratometry, OCT, fundus photography, pachymetry.
• Assisting ophthalmologists during eye examinations, surgeries, and laser treatments.
• Educating patients on eye care procedures and post-operative instructions.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Keeping ophthalmic equipment maintained and calibrated.
• Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments for eye surgeries.
• Collaborating with ophthalmologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver care.
