Job summary

Refocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. This on-site role involves gathering patient information, performing preliminary testing, and assisting with surgeries and imaging procedures.

You will administer diagnostic tests (OCT, perimetry, photos), manage patient flow, and support clinical staff to ensure high-quality care. High school diploma required; COA certification preferred.

• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Support efficient patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Contribute to clinic efficiency with clinical and administrative tasks.

Hours: Up to 40 per week

Mon-Fri 9a.m. - 5p.m. Rotating Saturdays

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
