Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join the ophthalmology team. The role involves supporting ophthalmologists in exams, tests, and procedures, with focus on delivering excellent patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.

The position requires a diploma or vocational degree (or a high school diploma) and offers a full-time schedule with some travel to other locations and flexible hours to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Vocational Degree is required; or a High School diploma.
• High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary eye examinations and assessments, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, pupil reactions, and visual field testing.
• Obtain detailed patient medical history, including eye-related complaints, medications, and relevant health information.
• Administer specialized ophthalmic tests and procedures such as tonometry, keratometry, OCT, fundus photography, and pachymetry.
• Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations, surgeries, and laser treatments, ensuring patient comfort and understanding of procedures.
• Educate patients on eye care procedures, pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and proper use of contact lenses or eyeglasses.
