Job summary

EHN is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician at our Wilsonville, OR clinic. The technician will perform diagnostic ocular tests, take measurements, and provide patient education while liaising with physicians and staff to ensure quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, maintaining equipment, and supporting patient flow throughout the clinic. A high school diploma is required and COA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in ophthalmic testing and patient education preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients professionally and explain procedures.
• Obtain medical and ocular histories and document HPI.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform diagnostic tests.
• Take ocular measurements and test visual functions as directed by physician.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean and properly prepped for patients.
• May scribe or assist with documentation as required.
• Maintain equipment and assist with minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with patient flow and ensure timely, accurate clinic operations.
