Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center Ophthalmic Clinic is seeking an Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician to perform pre-exam testing, medication administration and related patient-care tasks for all ages in the clinic setting, reporting to the Clinic Manager and supporting eye care providers.

The position is full-time reduced to 32 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package, including IPERS retirement, healthcare, education assistance, PTO and free parking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS for healthcare providers certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to participate in onsite job training and prove competency.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam testing and medication administration as directed.
• Handle laboratory and office duties as needed.
• Provide care for patients of all ages in the clinic setting with Eye Clinic Providers.
