ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team in New Jersey. You will work closely with ophthalmologists to gather patient information, perform preliminary tests, and assist with diagnostic procedures in a collaborative clinical setting.

The role requires hands-on experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists to support accurate diagnoses.
• Conduct preliminary testing such as visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Perform diagnostic tests including OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking as needed.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms in collaboration with staff.
• Administer eye drops after certification.
• Support clinic efficiency with clinical and administrative tasks.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
