Job summary

Wolfe Eye Clinic in Ames, IA is seeking a full-time experienced Ophthalmic Technician to support our doctors in delivering comprehensive eye care.

Responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing workups, and conducting diagnostic testing (retinoscopy, refraction, A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCT and VF). Daytime travel is required; travel time and mileage are reimbursed. Competitive wages and full-time benefits are offered.

Ophthalmic TechnicianAt Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.We have an immediate opening for a full-time experienced Ophthalmic technician based in our Ames clinic.The ophthalmic technicians work closely with ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Candidates should be ready to work both independently and as a member of a team, accept responsibility for assigned patient care and be able to perform responsibilities in a friendly and efficient manner.Responsibilities include:-Taking patient medical and ocular histories-Performing patient workups-Diagnostic testingExperience is required.Ideal candidates would be skilled in:-Retinoscopy-Manual refraction-Applanation A-scan-Manual keratometry-Tonometry-Performing OCT and VF testingDaytime travel required.
