Northwest Eyes is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician Trainer to play a key role in shaping the next generation of clinical talent. In this role, you’ll support technician onboarding, guide professional growth, ensure clinical excellence, and contribute to clinical research efforts. If you're passionate about education, process improvement, and elevating standards of care, we’d love to meet you.
Skills you will train on:
Visual Testing:
Visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Hirschberg, EOM testing
Anterior & Posterior Segment Diagnostics:
Slit lamp exam, pachymetry, Van Herick technique, OCT, fundus photography
Refraction & Optics:
Autorefraction, retinoscopy, and phoropter use
Intraocular Pressure Testing:
Applanation, iCare, Tonopen
Visual Fields:
Humphrey Visual Field testing with basic interpretation
Patient Preparation & Education:
Medical history taking, dilation, medication instillation, and patient instruction
Surgical Support:
Biometry (IOL Master/Lenstar), A-scans, keratometry, cataract evaluation workups
