Job summary

Grene Vision Group, located in Hutchinson, Kansas, is seeking a Surgical Coordinator in Ophthalmology. The role focuses on coordinating surgical procedures, pre-op education, and financial counseling for patients across our ophthalmology services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in financial counseling is preferred.
• Experience working with insurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery and pre-surgery education for patients; coordinate with associated facilities.
• Schedule and coordinate pre-op appointments with patients or their caregivers.
• Review patient charts for insurance benefits; prepare cost summaries and counsel patients on finances.
• Counsel patients on Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center charges.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Other duties as assigned.
