Carolinas Centers for Sight is an affiliate of Eye Health America and is expanding its ophthalmology team. We are seeking an ophthalmic scribe to accurately document ocular examinations, assist during visits, and support patient flow.

The role emphasizes precise charting, clear communication with patients, and proper completion of billing and checkout tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience. Experience in a medical office and scribe certification are preferred, with commitment to

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a medical office, preferably ophthalmology.
• Scribe certification preferred (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant).

Responsibilities

• Summarize and document physician examinations, including chief complaints, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Observe patient and physician during exams and assist when appropriate.
• Provide and explain written instructions and patient education materials.
• Complete superbill, billing orders, and checkout forms as directed.
• Become fluent in the requirements of each examination.
