Job summary

Davis Eye Center seeks an ophthalmic scribe to support physicians in a fast-paced clinic. The role focuses on accurate, real-time documentation of eye exams and procedures, helping streamline patient care and clinic flow.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician and EMR familiarity. On-site work includes standard benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous ophthalmic scribe or technician experience is preferred.
• Previous experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document ophthalmic exams and procedures in real time.
• List diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed.
• Provide patients and/or family with self-care and follow-up instructions.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow; communicate delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by department manager, facility administrator and doctors.
