Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support physicians with charting and minor in-office procedures. The role runs Monday through Friday, starting early morning with an approx. 8.5 hour shift including a lunch break.

You will document patient workups, assist with procedures, and ensure accurate charting in the EMR. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and strong computer/typing skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle.
• Efficient computer skills and typing 40+ words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Bring patients to and from exam rooms.
• Perform detailed documentation of patient workups and OD/MD notes in the EMR.
• Complete patient encounter forms based on diagnosed conditions.
• Apply drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes.
• Provide chair-side physician assistance and administer treatments as ordered.
• Review care instructions with patients.
