Job summary

Atlantic Eye is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support pre- and post-operative patient care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. Under RN supervision, you will assist with admissions, provide patient communication, monitor vitals, and help with supply management in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have experience in healthcare, CPR/BLS certification, and strong attention to detail. Phlebotomy skills are a plus, with a high school diploma and MA certification required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Experience in ophthalmology, surgical, ASC, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Phlebotomy skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, preparation, and discharge.
• Verify patient identification and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide compassionate patient support and ensure patient safety.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Obtain and remove IVs as directed.
