Job summary

Atlantic Eye Physicians in Eatontown, NJ seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support pre- and post-operative care in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role works under the supervision of an RN to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include patient admission, preparing and discharging, monitoring vital signs, HIPAA compliance, assisting with supplies, and clear communication with patients before and after procedures. Ophthalmology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• Phlebotomy skills a plus.
• Experience in ophthalmology, surgical, ASC or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient care pre-operative and post-operative support.
• Assist with admission, preparation and discharge.
• Verify patient identity and HIPAA compliance.
• Obtain/monitor vital signs and report changes.
• Maintain supplies and prepare patient-care areas.
