Job summary

Houston Eye Associates is seeking a Diagnostic Technician to perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests and imaging for a wide range of patients. You will handle Fundus photography, Fluorescein Angiography, venipuncture, and assist with laser and IOL calculations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires 3–5 years in ophthalmic testing, BLS, and strict HIPAA compliance. A strong team ethic and emphasis on patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required for employment.
• 3–5 years of ophthalmic testing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or eligible to obtain within 6 months.
• Proficiency in advanced diagnostic procedures in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic tests ordered by an Ophthalmologist.
• Conducts Fundus Photography and Fluorescein Angiography.
• Performs venipuncture and assists with laser procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness of diagnostic rooms and adheres to HIPAA.
• Assists with IOL calculations and continuing education.
