Job summary

Houston Eye Associates seeks a floater to support multiple clinic locations. You will work with ophthalmologists to perform preliminary and advanced eye tests, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with in-office procedures.

As a traveling floater, you will cover various HEA sites and departments on short notice. Bilingual Spanish is required, with a High School Diploma or GED and BLS/JCAHPO certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience working with ophthalmology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock, prep, and maintain cleanliness of exam rooms.
• Review patient charts for accuracy.
• Prepare patients for physician’s exam and perform tests as directed.
• Assist with in-office procedures and procedures preparation.
• Administer topical/oral medications under physician direction.
• May act as scribe and order diagnostic tests; manage prescriptions.
