Job summary

MACT Health Board, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Float Optician/Optometric Technician for a Full-Time role in our optometry clinics.

As a member of the Optometry team, you will assist providers and support front and back office operations to deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include escorting patients, recording vital signs, preparing rooms, assisting with frame selection, handling inventory and insurance tasks, scheduling appointments, and traveling between clinics to cover

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Optical Laboratory Technician Certificate preferred.
• Experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Must pass Occupational Health Screening.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and record vital signs.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms.
• Maintain equipment and infection control standards.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and preparing optical lab orders.
• Perform administrative tasks including inventory, insurance processing, and recordkeeping.
• Support reception duties such as patient registration and appointment scheduling.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and emergency supply checks.
• Travel between Optometry clinics in the event of staff shortage.
• Train new staff and comply with MACT policies.
