Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Avon, MA, seeks an In-House Service Technician to ensure the operation, reliability, and safety of ophthalmic and lens finishing equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced instruments used in medical and laboratory settings.

You will maintain service documentation, support compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with vendors for complex repairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on training in a technical field.
• 3–5 years of equipment maintenance or technical support experience.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with diagnostic tools.
• Proficient documenting service work electronically.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on ophthalmic and finishing instruments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements during service procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records in the management system.
• Collaborate with vendors for complex repairs and parts sourcing.
• Assist with inventory and tool management.
• Provide technical guidance and product support to customers.
• Support incoming inspection of new or refurbished equipment.
