Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking an In‑House Service Technician to maintain ophthalmic and lens finishing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs. You will document activities, ensure compliance with SOPs, and support customers via phone, email, or video.

The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in a technical field and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Biomedical tech or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years in equipment maintenance, calibration, or technical support.
  • Able to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Good computer literacy and electronic documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration on ophthalmic and finishing instruments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Execute calibration and service procedures per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service records and equipment history in the service management system.
  • Collaborate with vendors or partners for complex repairs and parts sourcing.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance service efficiency, quality and safety.
