Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking an In-House Service Technician to ensure the operational excellence, reliability and safety of ophthalmic and lens finishing equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair in medical and lab settings.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, plus experience with diagnostic tools and documenting service work, are essential. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and collaboration with vendors may be required.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
3–5 years of maintenance/calibration/technical support experience.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities; familiar with diagnostic tools and multimeters.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on ophthalmic and finishing instruments.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
Document maintenance, repairs, calibrations and equipment history in the service system.
Collaborate with vendors for complex repairs or parts sourcing.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools to ensure readiness.
Support customers with technical guidance via phone, email, or video.
Assist in incoming inspection and testing of new/refurbished equipment.
Participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and safety.
