Job summary

Katzen Eye Group in Lutherville, MD is seeking a Diagnostic Technician to assist ophthalmologists by performing diagnostic tests and operating equipment to capture images and measurements. The role involves travel to other Metro Baltimore locations and supports a team-oriented environment with a clear career ladder.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of ophthalmic/optometric technician experience; extensive training is available, and prior medical back-office experience with good tenure

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary ophthalmic training preferred.
• Certification as COT or COA highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient history including eye-related symptoms and medications.
• Administer basic vision tests such as visual acuity and color vision.
• Perform specialized tests: Fundus photography, Visual field testing, OCT, A-scan and B-scan ultrasound, Corneal topography.
