Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical college program for Ophthalmic Assistant or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years related medical field experience preferred.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of care; assist Ophthalmologist/Optometrist with patient treatment and flow in/out of exam areas.
• Assist with surgery/procedures as directed.
• Record patient histories and document care for medical records.
• Perform basic tests and take vital signs as prescribed.
• Communicate with patients and process physician orders for medications.
• Ensure stock of medical and drug supplies is adequate.
• Maintain and clean instruments, lenses, and room equipment.
