Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• OA1 Experience: 0-2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• OAII Experience: 2+ years ophthalmic assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Perform tests including OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Conduct lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp exams, tonometry, and alignment checks.
• Assist with scribing and data entry into EMR or paper charts.
• Administer ophthalmic medications as directed.
• Ensure procedures and informed consent are in place.
• Educate patients and manage patient flow.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and order throughout the day.
