Job summary

American Vision Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to prepare patients for exams, collect medical histories, and support diagnostic testing. You will perform visual acuity tests, refractions, tonometry, and keratometry, while ensuring patient comfort and smooth clinic flow.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of ophthalmology experience preferred, and strong communication skills. A Monday–Friday schedule is typical, with opportunities for growth and continued education.

Responsibilities

• Maintains EHR notes and patient records.
• Educates patients on ophthalmic conditions and procedures.
